SELF-ESTEEM: WHAT IS IT AND WHY MEASURE IT?
Self-esteem is the perception of one's worth. A quality that manifests itself in the contentment, or not, with one's own characteristics and, consequently, for the majority of the population. At its root, it’s the greater or lesser confidence in the actions and choices that are made. It tends to directly impact each individual's interpretation of reality: opportunities, contacts, posture. Seeing value in oneself often translates into confidence and competence to develop and sell products and services, as well as connect with customers and colleagues. On the other hand, low self-esteem, in most cases, manifests itself as risk aversion, difficulty in expressing and collaborating.
Professionals with healthy levels of self-esteem generally increase the productivity of companies and contribute to a positive organizational climate because they are able to:
- Express your own opinions
- Collaborate as a team
- Seek professional development
- Be open to learning
The esteem assessment is born from the purpose of bringing more diversity to organizations and self-knowledge to women. We believe that using statistical data is the safest way to guide performance, retain talent and define content for development that, in fact, brings practical tools to simplify life and make people's work easier.
